About our nanoSTRIKER XL™ Titanium

We created an evolutionary derivative of the original nanoSTRIKER™ with a larger rod and striker handle. It utilizes the same innovative design as the original, but with just enough extra size and heft to improve its ease of use without making it too big or bulky for key chain carry.

The striker handle is 46% bigger, making it easier to grip.  The XL version also sports a 33% larger ferrocerium rod, which improves the durability and lifespan of the rod even beyond that of the original nanoSTRIKER’s.

Slowly scrape shavings off the rod into a small pile. Use these shavings on top of your tinder bundle for even better sparks!
Use the nanoSTRIKER™ to light gas stoves, alcohol stoves, fuel tablets, BBQ grills, etc.

Burns at nearly 5500°F (3000°C)
1/4" waterproof ferrocerium & magnesium rod
Ferrocerium rod works when wet
Titanium Body
Ultra-sharp tungsten carbide striking tool
More than 3000 fire-starting strikes per rod
Replaceable ferrocerium rod

  1. Almost perfect tool 4 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Feb 2018

This is 2nd order, I am quite impress with the speed of delivery.
It seem to be well built but closer inspection reveals the edge is a little sharp & some burrs is still on the nanostriker xl titanium. Seem the item is removed from cnc lathe without deburring.
The ferrocerium rod is softer than other rods I owned, hence can generate more sparks. I like its hardness.
I had high expectations of the "Ultra sharp tungsten carbide striker" but found it difficult to use. Hard & painful to hold the carbide striker for long as it is a little small. Unable to generate sparks consistently on each striking strokes. I had tried holding at various angle without much success.
Using a knife or bigger tool, I was able to create shower of sparks on each strokes.
Wonder if I would have better luck if I use the built in striker that come with polystriker xl. Will order a polystriker xl on my next payday.
